Pumpkin Carving:
- Buy a pumpkin and cut around the stem at an angle. Scoop out the insides and seeds.
- Print out a stencil online or draw your own spooky face design. Tape it to the pumpkin.
- Use a small saw or carving tools to cut out the face following your stencil.
- Light a tealight or small candle and place inside the carved pumpkin.
Paper Bats:
- Fold a sheet of black construction paper in half. Cut a half wing shape along the fold.
- Unfold the paper and you will have a full bat shape. Repeat to make multiple bats.
- Punch a hole near the top and string some fishing line through it. Hang the bats around your home.
Tissue Paper Ghosts:
- Take several sheets of white tissue paper and wad them up loosely.
- Place the tissue paper inside a plastic sandwich or grocery bag.
- Tie the end tightly with a twist tie or ribbon. Cut off excess plastic.
- Use a black marker to draw spooky eyes and mouth.
- Tape to windows or hang from ceiling.
Painted Pumpkins:
- Get orange terracotta pots from a craft store. Paint them orange if needed.
- Use black paint and a paintbrush to paint a jack-o-lantern face onto the pot.
- Add details like triangles for eyes and nose, jagged mouth and triangles for teeth.
- Display your painted pumpkins on the porch, front steps or around the house.
